Giving

St John’s income is mainly made up from the gifts generously given week by week and month by month.

Thank you to all those who give generously. Your giving has helped us to run St John’s and look at fulfilling our vision of ‘Serving the Community, Worshipping God.’ It costs approximately £600 a week in 2024 to keep St John’s clean, warm, cover administration costs, and pay other bills to keep us running.

There are many easy ways to give to help the work of St John’s.

1

Direct Debit

The easiest and most reliable way to give if you are a taxpayer and able to gift aid.

2

Standing order

This is an easy way to make regular gifts to the Church.

3

Bank Transfer

Send a payment when you want to.

4

The Offertory Plate

To give cash or by bank card.

If you want to make a regular contribution to St John’s please contact Anne Laurence for more information on Direct Debits, Standing Orders and our bank details.

For a one-off payment you can also pay via our Sum Up account, which can be accessed via the following QR code.

Please reflect and pray about how you can best support the Church family of St Johns. St Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9 v7 – “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” our collective prayer is that we are able to increase our giving year on year to enable us to serve the community and worship God in ever more effective ways. However, we each face our own personal circumstances and must decide what is right for us.

How much you give needs to be what you can afford.

With this in mind we would like to once again offer our heartfelt thanks for what you give and for doing so with a love for the church and for God
